Inquiry - Taniwha and the Rakaia gorge

Hi readers, today I finally finished making my Taniwha and the Rakaia gorge Soundscape. It was really fun, we got to choose groups, my group is Kristhel, me, Phoebe and Izeiah. There were some parts that were hard, but the hardest for me was when we had to find out what sounds would work for our slide. But in the end it was still really fun for us. Well, here is our slide (it might be a bit hard to hear, though):

Reading - Volcano D.L.O

Hello readers, this week we have been reading about volcanoes and how they work. They are really powerful and destructive. But did you know that volcanoes can make islands? And, there is a volcano that is taller than mount Everest, did you now that? But it doesn't count since they only measure volcanoes from above the water. Well here is my D.L.O:

I did mount Kilimanjaro for my volcano.

Maths - Hundreds Board

Hi readers, in maths last week our brain teazer was a a hundreds board. We did this by putting the the shapes into the columns. We also found out that one of the shapes were rotated, we weren't allowed to rotate them 😁. Well here it is:

This is my completed hundreds board.

Writing - Information Report

Hi readers, today I'm going to blog about my information report. We did this for about a week of so. It was really fun. The information report was about our space, Pūnui-o-toka. Something challenging for me was to find out all the information to make the report. But overall I really enjoyed doing it. Here it is:

Inquiry - My Pepeha

Hi everyone, today I am going to show you my pepeha that I created at Inquiry. We had to create a Pepeha cause we were going to the Te Pa o Moki Marae so we can read it there. I enjoyed doing the Pepeha and choosing the places I came from. I didn't have a Awa (lake, river or ocean than relates to me) nor a Maunga (that relates to me) so I chose some that were close to Christchurch. Here is my Pepeha:

Our Trip to the Te Pa o Moki Marae

Hello readers, today I am going to tell you about me class's trip to the Te pa o Moki Marae. Half of our class went to the Te Pa o Moki Marae we also went with Miss Gatehouse's homeroom. I will explain what we did under the photos 😇:

Fiona (a worker at the Marae) welcoming us into

the marae. We sang Te Wai Tuku Kiri.

Fiona teaching us about the lake we were going to,
                                              to see the eels.
After taking the bus to the lake we got
Mr Smith (an eel farmer) explain to us about the eels

These were one of the eels (there were 3
and they're all alive by the way) and they
are very slippery and slimy (we got to
                                                         touch them).
