Hi Readers! In Power Time last week we learnt about how to play well in school ๐. Our work for this lesson was to name all the different Places You can Play at S.HS (South Hornby School) ๐. I found it very fun making the slide and I didn't really find anything too hard ๐. Here is my slide ๐:
I am a Year 6 student in the Uru Mฤnuka Cluster. My teacher is Mrs Jones. This is a place where I will share my learning. Please note that some of it will not be complete, it will be my first drafts. Remember to be positive, thoughtful and helpful when you leave me a comment.

Inquiry - Street Dance D.L.O
Hi Readers!
A few weeks ago our class learned about street dance ๐. I found it really interesting how many different types of street dances there are ๐. Something I enjoyed about making the Street Dance D.L.O is to put the information from other sources into my own words ๐. Here is my D.L.O ๐:
Inquiry - Folk Dancing D.L.O
Hello Readers! In Inquiry we have been learning about folk dance, a dance that originated centuries ago. I found it really interesting how folk dance is so old and is taught in many schools around New Zealand ๐. Making the D.L.O was really fun, but the thing I found hardest to was to choose the right information to put into my D.L.O ๐ . Here is my D.L.O ๐:

Writing - Getting Hooked Activity
Hi Readers! Last week in Miss McLeod's writing group we were learning how to get the reader hooked into our piece of writing ๐. After learning about how to hook readers in, we did a Getting Hooked Activity where we had had to make a hook out of the picture on the slide ๐. We also had to write different types of hooks using the Setting, What the Character is Thinking and what the Character is Saying ๐. I didn't find the activity that hard and I found it very fun ๐. Here is my activity ๐:

Te Reo Maori - Taku Akomanga Activity
Hi readers! This week I worked on a Taku Akomanga (my classroom) activity ๐. We had to name the classroom objects in Mฤori, but Miss McLeod challenged us๐ so we had to name the classroom objects and colours of the objects in Mฤori as well ๐. The thing that I found hardest to do was to name the colours of the objects ๐, I still enjoyed it though ๐. Here is my activity ๐:
