 Hello Readers! In Inquiry we have been learning about folk dance, a dance that originated centuries ago. I found it really interesting how folk dance is so old and is taught in many schools around New Zealand 😊. Writing - Getting Hooked Activity

 Hi Readers! Last week in Miss McLeod's writing group we were learning how to get the reader hooked into our piece of writing 😌. After learning about how to hook readers in, we did a Getting Hooked Activity where we had had to make a hook out of the picture on the slide 😑. We also had to write different types of hooks using the Setting, What the Character is Thinking and what the Character is Saying 😊. I didn't find the activity that hard and I found it very fun 😄.  Her Readers! Since the start of the Olympic games our Reading class have been doing Olympic activities which I found very fun 😄. Te Reo Maori - Taku Akomanga Activity

 Hi readers! This week I worked on a Taku Akomanga (my classroom) activity 😄. We had to name the classroom objects in Māori, but Miss McLeod challenged us😑 so we had to name the classroom objects and colours of the objects in Māori as well 😞. The thing that I found hardest to do was to name the colours of the objects 😊, I still enjoyed it though 😉. Here is my activity 😁:
